MR. EWOK ONE

While studying Traditional Animation at one of New York’s most prestigious Art Schools, Mr. Ewok One’s most formative education came in the mid 90’s while carving out a name for himself as one of the City’s most influential Graffiti Artist’s.

Today, New York City remains both the backdrop and the main source of inspiration for his multi disciplinary work, from the everyday people who inspire his twisted portraits, to the streets themselves where he finds “industrial stamped tickets, hand written letters, and other treasures” to weave into his meticulously collaged backgrounds. His multifaceted work now spans fine art painting, character design, fashion, comic illustration, large scale murals and of course his ongoing love affair with Graffiti Art and “Style Writing”.

In a world where everyone is scrambling for the spotlight, Mr. Ewok One stood his ground over the last three decades and chose a different path — one of authenticity and anonymity. Today he's sought after for his heritage in Skateboard, Hip Hop, and Graffiti culture that truly sets him apart as a legend in the scene.

Distinguished clients include MTV, D.C. Comics, Museum of Graffiti, YouTube, Ecko Unltd, Kidrobot, DKNY, Red Bull, Mass Appeal, Travie McCoy, Zoe Kravitz, Ewan McGregor, Busta Rhymes, Nas, RAWKUS Records. Notably, Mr. Ewok One's artistic imprint extends beyond traditional platforms, with his work featuring in Abel Ferrara’s 2001 film ‘R Xmas and another of his paintings taking center stage as the vibrant focal point of an art heist in the 2015 film “The Two Bellmen”. His large scale murals have seen him travel worldwide for private collectors, commercial projects, and galleries including Museum of Graffiti, 50 Bowery Hotel, GLITCH Singapore, and recently “The Go-Off” in Osaka Japan.

Mr. Ewok One hopes to help aspiring artists by sharing his most valued secrets and techniques in his forthcoming book “I Wuz Heer ” that navigates the contrasting worlds of “Graffiti” and “Fine Art”.
